The Forester Ripping/Milling Chain was developed for cutting with the grain when attempting to "rip" a tree and mill boards. The teeth on a ripping chain are sharpened at a specific angle to be able to discharge the elongated wood chips that happen when cutting with the grain to help reduce the "clogging" affect.

It does a vary good job. I have a question .I am new to doing this . To make a fished 3/4' board How thick should I do The Ruff cut? 1" or 1"1/8"?
