The bar rail closer is designed for when your chain becomes "sloppy" in your bar. You can judge this by the chains side to side movement in the rails of your bar. If you are experienceing this, your bar rails need to be "Closed". Once done properly, the chain should fit snuggly between the rails with minimal side to side movement!

It works
Wasnt sure it actually did anything at first, but after a few attempts I managed to strip the threads on the tightener. The tool itself was fine, so I got a new screw that fit, and used an Allen wrench to tighten it. Didn't have the highest hopes, but after two passes my rail was actually tighter. The chain almost didn't fit anymore, so I'm actually impressed that it closed the rails. The tool itself seems decently constructed, I'll see how it holds up after some time. For the price, even if it gives a little extra life it's still way cheaper than a new bar. It takes some adjusting to find the right depth and all, but on the whole I think it does what it's supposed to do. Time will tell how long the wheels last.

After trying it the day I got it like the 3rd or 4th time the bearing cracked have picture of the bearing it should be replaced thank you. - Replacement under warranty was sent.

Works but finicky
Takes some time to figure out how to set it up but once you do it works very well! Be careful not to over tighten the bar groove and the only complaint I have is that one of the outer races of the a bearing cracked. The bearings are a standard size and I was easily able to see the numbers on the bearing and order more off Amazon.

DOES THE JOB
While its a little tricky to master at first, this tool certainly did its job and helped prolong the life of my bar.
