Pulp hook
Hook is blunt and won’t penetrate or stick in wood

Forester pulp hook
It appears to be a sturdy heavy duty tool, but has some quality control issues. The finish has some flaws in that there weld splatters and rough welds that i will have to be grind off, and the top of the yoke has sharp corners that will certainly cut into the palm during use. These too, will need to be ground off prior to use. The yoke is also spread out to the point it's not squeezed tight against the handle ends, and I imagine the handle will work loose when I start using it. A glance at it by a quality control inspector could have prevented this getting by and not being corrected.

Forester New England pulp hook
Wooden handle is of poor quality. Suspect item was made in China.
